PERSEPSI ORANG TUA TERHADAP KASUS CACINGAN PADA BALITA USIA 0-60 BULAN

In Indonesia, enterobiasis cases in toddlers still have a high prevalence rate, caused by the poor sanitation and parents understanding of it as the main factors. The aim of this study is to analyze the perception of parents about enterobiasis in toddlers especially in Banten, East Java and West Sumatera. The type of research used in this study is descriptive quantitative research with survey methods and data retrieval techniques conducted through questionnaires. Primary data analysis is performed using SPSS with validity test and reliability test, while descriptive analysis using likert scale method. The result of the study obtained the level of knowledge of parents about enterobiases in toddlers are 79.08% in Banten, 75.92% in East Java and 77.58% in West Sumatera. The level of parental awareness about enterobiasis are 81.28% in Banten, 78.06% in East Java and 70.78% in West Sumatera. The preventive actions of parents for each province in Banten, East Java and West Sumatera amounted to 84.95%, 80.8% and 82.8%, while the rehabilitative actions measures amounted to 79.47%, 75.81% and 77.16%. The percentage figures are still in the good and very good categories, so it can be projected that the perception of parents in the three provinces is quite high to reduce the occurrence of enterobiasis.
