Hubungan Golongan Darah Dengan Resiko Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2

Diabetes Mellitus type 2 is a metabolic disease that often occurs in society due to the body's inability to produce insulin which causes an increase in blood sugar. The main factor in the occurrence of diabetes mellitus type 2 is genetic factors. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship of blood groups and the risk of diabetes mellitus type 2. The research uses cross sectional design approach. The research sample was students of the Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padang State University on May 25-30, 2021 with a sample of 118 respondents. Data was collected by questionnaire consisting of 26 questions with a score of ≥17 high, 10-16 moderate and ≤9 mild. Data analysis is descriptively. The results showed that respondents blood type A and B had an average risk of diabetes mellitus type 2 that was greater than other blood groups, with score 75%. Our conclution is blood type A and B has the highes risk of diabetes mellitus type 2.
