Guava (Psidium guajava Linn.) is a medicinal plant that is easy to find and can be grown in almost all areas. The composition of active compounds in guava leaves include flavonoids and tannins. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of guava leaf infusion as an antibacterial against the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria. This study is a descriptive study, using six leaf extract concentrations of 50%, 45%, 40%, 35%, 30%, and 25%. Testing the effectiveness of antibacterial using disk diffusion method. From the results of the study, increasing the concentration of guava leaf infusion, it was seen that the diameter of the zone of inhibition was getting bigger on the growth of E. coli. The diameter of the largest inhibition zone was found at 50% concentration treatment is 1.71 mm. The smallest diameter of the inhibition zone is found at a concentration of 25%, which is 0.73 mm. Guava leaf infusion with a concentration of 50% was most effective in inhibiting the growth of E. coli bacteria.
