The use of chemical pesticides that have many negative impacts encourages the emergence of alternative vegetable pesticides that are more environmentally friendly and easily obtained from natural ingredients. This research aims to find out the use of plant types as vegetable pesticides for crop pest control. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative methode, by conducting interviews with the 14 sources. Based on the results of research on plant types used by the community in Pondok Arum Housing, Karawaci District, South Tangerang City, Banten obtained 7 types of plants, consist of Allium sativum, Andrographis paniculata, Carica papaya, Annona muricata, Curcuma longa, Zingiber officinale, and Cymbopogon citratus. Around 57% of residents in Pondok Arum Housing use plant-based pesticides to control plant pests. The manufacture of botanical pesticides carried out by the Pondok Arum Housing community uses more Zingiberaceae plants and leaf organs which are processed in a conventional way, namely mashed with a blender and allowed to stand for 2 days, then diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3, and ready to be used by spraying on plant.
