Detergents in waters can damage the gills and respiratory organs of fish which causes fish tolerance to water with low dissolved oxygen content to decrease. High LAS content or exceeding the threshold greatly affects fish mortality. One way to reduce LAS levels in water is phytoremediation using Hydrilla verticillata plants. This study aims to 1) determine the level of toxicity of LAS content from phytoremediation of water Hydrilla verticillata plants on the mortality of lele fish 2) determine the movement of fish activity during the toxicity test. This type of research is an experimental study with control without phytoremediation (K1) and final control after 7 days (K2) and plant phytoremediation treatment factors Hydrilla (K3). Observation of the toxicity test was carried out for 1 x 24 hours. Parameters measured include 1) Number of fish deaths, 2) Physical and chemical factors (pH, temperature, DO), LAS levels. The data analysis was descriptive quantitative and compared with the quality standards according to the Decree of the Governor of East Java No. 72 of 2013. The results showed that 1) the physical and chemical quality of water based on quality standards was in optimal water quality conditions 2) the level of toxicity of LAS on fish mortality was K1 (100%), K2 (73%) , and K3 (10%). This proves that the highest level of toxicity is in the K1 treatment.
